Central Coast Education Numbers Show $135.6 Million in Targeted Investments

Four Central Coast public high schools lifted their 2025 HSC results after seven years of measured academic growth, while separate state outlays reached $38.3 million for TAFE upgrades and $67.3 million for a new University of Newcastle campus at Gosford.

These figures arrive ahead of multiple 2026 start dates for new classrooms, training spaces and degree programs. The NSW Government has already completed more than $30 million in classroom construction across Coast public schools, and two additional preschools are scheduled to open by 2027 under the state’s 100-new-preschools program.

Named sites and dollar amounts

The four schools recognised statewide are Brisbane Water Secondary College Woy Woy Campus, Kincumber High School, Lisarow High School and Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College’s The Entrance Campus. TAFE NSW work will modernise facilities at the Gosford, Ourimbah and Wyong campuses beginning early 2026. The University of Newcastle Gosford campus will open in Semester 1 2026 with 10 undergraduate degrees, five diplomas and a Pathways Program covering education, social science and business. Construction continues on the new preschools at Tuggerawong Public School and Umina Beach Public School.
